The principal street in Whiteley's horse-named residential area, Mustang Avenue runs through the western part of the development. The horse breed naming scheme gives this neighbourhood a distinctive identity, with Palomino Drive, Pinto Close and Persian Drive nearby. The houses are a mix of detached family homes and smaller properties, built during the middle phases of the development. Mustang Avenue is a through road with moderate traffic, connecting to the wider estate road network and to the footpaths leading to the shopping centre and schools.
