The main access road from the M27 Junction 9 interchange into the Whiteley development. Parkway is a well-engineered road designed to handle the traffic generated by the shopping centre, the business park and the residential areas. The road passes through the commercial zone before connecting to the internal road network. Landscaping along the route includes mature trees and hedging that softens the appearance of what is essentially a traffic artery. The Junction 9 roundabout at the southern end of Parkway can be congested at peak times, particularly on Saturday shopping days and during weekday commuter periods.
