Curbridge Road
Street guide, Whiteley
Running northward from Whiteley towards Botley, Curbridge Road marks the transition from the planned modern development to the older rural landscape beyond. The road passes through the area that is now being developed as North Whiteley, and its character is changing as new housing, roads and infrastructure are built alongside it. Historically, Curbridge Road served the scattered farms and cottages of the Curbridge area, and it connected to the A3051 Botley Road for access to Hedge End and Eastleigh. For Whiteley residents, it provides a northern route out of the town and access to the countryside walks around Curbridge and the Hamble valley.
