Gull Coppice is one of Whiteley's established residential neighbourhoods, located in the central part of the development. The area was built during the earlier phases of Whiteley's construction in the late 1980s and 1990s, and the houses here have matured with established gardens, tree-lined streets and a settled community. The housing is a mix of detached and semi-detached family homes, with some smaller terraces and starter properties. Gull Coppice is well connected to the rest of Whiteley by footpaths and cycle routes that wind through the green corridors between neighbourhoods. The area has a quiet, suburban character with a strong family presence, and the street names reflect the natural themes that run through Whiteley's development, drawing on woodland and wildlife references.
