Curbridge Meadows
Northern edge of Whiteley with countryside views and newer housing
Curbridge Meadows sits on the northern edge of the original Whiteley development, where the built-up area meets the open farmland and woodland that characterised the area before the town was created. This transitional zone includes newer housing alongside green spaces and footpaths that connect Whiteley to the surrounding countryside. The area falls partly within Winchester City Council's administrative area, reflecting Whiteley's position straddling two local authorities. Curbridge Road provides access to the north, connecting towards Botley and the A3051. The character is quieter and more rural than the central parts of Whiteley, with views over open fields and the wooded margins of the Hamble river valley. As North Whiteley is built out, this area will become more integrated into the expanded town.
